Prom 101: Prom Suit Rentals Made Easy: What to Expect at Bauman’s

Prom season is here, and if it’s your first time renting a suit, don’t stress—we’ve got you covered. Here’s a quick guide to making your rental experience smooth and stress-free!

1. Plan Ahead
Don’t wait until the last minute! To avoid a $25 rush fee, make sure to order your suit or tux at least two weeks before your event. This gives us plenty of time to ensure your look is perfect. Prom rentals are in high demand, so plan early! We’re also hosting TWO exclusive Prom Rental Fundraising Events:

�� March 11, 3-8 PM
�� March 27, 3-8 PM

For every suit rented during these events, we’ll donate money to Post Prom committees, you’ll look sharp and give back to your school at the same time!

2. Picking the Perfect Suit
We have plenty of examples in our style book to help you find the perfect look. Our team will guide you through swatches and accessories to coordinate with your date and complete your outfit.

3. Getting Measured
Fit is everything. We’ll take your measurements to ensure a tailored look. Our team will make sure you find the right fit for comfort and style!

4. Payment & Policies
All rentals must be paid in full before we place the order. Need to cancel? Do it at least two weeks before prom to avoid a partial charge.

5. Suit Pickup & Try-On
We’ll text you when your suit arrives—usually by the Thursday before prom. Swing by, try everything on, and let us know ASAP if anything needs a swap. We’ll get replacements in by the next day!

6. Returning Your Suit
Bring everything back by 5 PM on the Monday after prom. Make sure all pieces are in the garment bag—late returns incur a $25 fee per day.

Once you’ve narrowed down your options, we’ll review the contracts and timelines. We’ll explain the pricing for suit rentals vs. purchases and make sure everything is clear and organized. Understanding your options ahead of time helps keep the planning process smooth and stress-free.

5. Final Step – Getting the Groom Measured

The last step in the consultation is taking the groom’s measurements. Whether you're renting or purchasing, we ensure everything fits perfectly. These measurements give us time for any necessary alterations, so you don’t have to worry about last-minute adjustments.
